Leave a Legacy of Hope during Make-A-Will Month
St. Vincent de Paul believes in caring for our neighbors today—and making sure no one is forgotten tomorrow.
Every day, thanks to generous donors, Vincentians, and volunteers, we feed, clothe, house, and heal thousands of Arizonans in need. Volunteers prepare meals and serve them with compassion. Vincentians deliver food and love during home visits. Donors give generously to fuel our programs. Supporters share their time, talent, resources—even their gently used furniture or clothing—to help someone get back on their feet.
Together, the community builds a stronger, more caring Arizona for all.
But SVdP's mission doesn’t stop with today. The nonprofit wants to be here for as long as people need it—next year, in ten years, in eighty years. That’s why SVdP is inviting its community to consider one more way to help: By leaving a legacy gift in an estate plan.
This August, in honor of Make-A-Will Month, SVdP is excited to share about its $60,000 Legacy of Hope Challenge. Thanks to the generosity of special supporters, every new planned gift designated to SVdP will unlock an extra $1,000 gift for its endowment—up to 60 gifts matched.
Leaving a Legacy of Hope is the final phase of SVdP's Common Ground campaign, which supports bringing together people who need help and people who can offer it on the common ground of God’s love.
Anyone can participate in this vision of common ground by naming St. Vincent de Paul in their will or trust. Nearly 100 supporters have participated in this effort already to ensure SVdP's work and values live on for generations to come.
A thoughtful planned gift helps:
- Ensure meals, shelter, medical care, and hope for future generations.
- Grow SVdP's endowment to provide long-term stability.
- Extend compassion and commitment far beyond one's lifetime.
And if SVdP is already in someone's estate plan, telling the organization now ensures the gift qualifies for the match.
Make-A-Will Month is the perfect time to have meaningful conversations with loved ones, review wishes, and plan the legacy one wants to leave.
